MontaVista, Inc., developer of the Hard Hat™ Linux operating system for embedded applications, today announced its continued expansion of operations into Asia. Naming Hitoshi Arima as general manager of its Japan operations in Tokyo, MontaVista has established its direct presence in Japan. "Historically, the Japanese embedded systems market has had a tightly linked supply chain. Our Tokyo office affords us a front-line opportunity to help meet rapidly growing market demand for complete open-source solutions," said Jim Ready, CEO of MontaVista.
