MontaVista to Showcase its Rapid Deployment Program for Android at ARM Technical Conference and RTECC Conferences in November

Energy efficient solutions for ARM-based mobile internet devices (MID) and Cavium Networks ECONA processors to be demonstrated on Android platform

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - November 8, 2010 - MontaVista® Software, LLC, a leader in embedded Linux® commercialization, announced it will be showcasing energy efficient, ARM-based Android solutions at the ARM Technical Conference in Santa Clara, and the RTECC events in San Diego and Los Angeles during November. As part of its new Rapid Deployment Program for Android, MontaVista developed a customized Android software platform for each device, porting Android to the processor platform, integrating the required hardware drivers and components, and performing extensive testing and quality assurance.

MontaVista will be showcasing its solutions in booth #513 at the ARM Technical Conference, scheduled for November 9th to 11th at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. In addition to the exhibition booth, a company representative will be speaking at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 10th on embedded Linux development.

Continuing its commitment to the Real Time Embedded Conferences (RTECC) this year, MontaVista will also exhibit and speak at the RTECC San Diego and Los Angeles events. RTECC San Diego will be held Tuesday, November 16th at the Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay in San Diego, CA, while RTECC Los Angeles will be held Thursday, November 18th at the Hilton Pasadena Hotel in Pasadena, CA. At both events, MontaVista will have a booth in the exhibition hall as well as present during the technical seminars on embedded Linux development.

Announced earlier this year, the Rapid Deployment Program for Android helps customers developing Android-based products reduce their time to market, while improving overall product quality, and lowering development costs. For customers using Android in new areas it provides additional benefits not found in the standard Android framework, like pre-integrated, tested components not found in the normal Android software stack. The Rapid Deployment Program provides high quality Android reference platforms, an Automated Test and Validation Suite (ATVS), and commercialization services.
