Johnny Kim leads MontaVista’s business development and strategic growth initiatives across Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific market, focusing on Enterprise Linux, Embedded Linux, long-term lifecycle support, and cybersecurity compliance solutions.

Johnny joined MontaVista Software in 2003, during the early growth stage of the commercial Embedded Linux industry. Over the past two decades, he has played a pioneering role in expanding the adoption of commercial Linux and open-source technologies in the Korean market.

He has worked closely with leading enterprises and organizations across telecommunications, defense, manufacturing, finance, and cloud infrastructure sectors, supporting mission-critical Linux platforms in demanding enterprise environments.

Johnny has also been instrumental in strengthening MontaVista’s presence across Korea and the broader APAC region through strategic partnerships and customer relationships.

Johnny holds a degree from Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea.
