MontaVista Leads Industry in Mobile Linux Deployments and Revenue

Analyst firm VDC ranks MontaVista in top four for mobile application operating systems

The growth of Linux-based handsets is accelerating in all global markets due to the availability of commercial Linux for mobile platforms with complete toolsets and testing environments. The VDC report also states that MontaVista Software is the fourth-largest mobile application operating system provider in terms of revenue, with the company's Mobilinux product taking market share away from industry giants Microsoft, Symbian, and ACCESS/PalmSource.
