Software Process Specialist

Job Description:

This person will be expected to provide hands-on experience at the project level in monitoring, implementing, reporting and documenting software development processes. In addition, this individual will assist in developing, implementing and monitoring a CMMI process across a large software organization. The candidate shall be able to demonstrate flexibility and creative thinking in order to tune the processes required to a nimble and fast-moving software environment. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate within engineering, to customers, and with third-party partners in order to rapidly implement the required processes.

Required Experience:

1. Direct experience working in a CMMI software development environment or equivalent
2. Involvement in the implementation of software Quality Management Processes within a Corporation
3. Direct experience working within all phases of the software development life cycle
4. Multiple years of software development experience in an embedded environment
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement organizational change within a Software Engineering team
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Optional Experience:

1. ISO 9001
2. SPICE Process Experience
3. SEI Certification a plus
4. Multiple S/W languages including C, C++, Java, and others are helpful
5. Experience in multiple Software Development Process methodologies including Waterfall, Incremental, Agile, and others
6. Direct experience working in a Quality Management team a plus

Education:

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from accredited university required. Masters preferred.
