Quality Assurance/Testing Lead

Job Description:
Provide leadership for specific projects in the Quality Assurance/Testing team on MontaVista Software products for the embedded Linux market. For each project, lead a geographically dispersed team of software test engineers ensuring tasks are delegated and completed on time and serve as the Quality team interface to engineering management and product teams. Will also need to be an individual contributor for some tasks and responsible to develop and execute software test plans and test cases, maintain and report test results to the product development team, and consult with development engineers on debugging and defect resolution.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
3+ years experience in:
- Software testing and/or software development
- Demonstrated leadership ability to develop schedules, plan activities for self and others and work well with other functional teams
- Experience with Python or Perl web framework development
- Experience with Zope, Turbogears or similar web application servers/frameworks
- Linux/UNIX operating systems
- Experience with Embedded Systems
- Understanding of test methodologies including test planning and test case specification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
- B. S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from accredited university.
